Six Americans were killed in one of the deadliest attacks in Afghanistan.
The country in state of war for the 12th year has no less worries as U.S plans to withdrew in no more than half of the forces in a years time. This attack has just got the wake up call for the American Government. A 25 year old Female diplomat being in one killed among six in this latest attack.
Today, 3 US service members, 2 US civilians and a Doctor lost their lives while travelling to donate books
to students in southern region. This attack comes after the insurgents stormed a court house killing 46 people.
In a statement, Secretary of State John Kerry said the Americans included a department of defense civilian and the foreign service officer.
"She tragically gave her young life working to give young Afghans the opportunity to have a better future," Kerry said. "We also honour the U.S. troops and Department of Defense civilian who lost their lives, and the Afghan civilians who were killed today as they worked to improve the nation they love."
The Taliban has claimed responsible for the attack and already warned to target government officials. Insurgents attacks has been growing since 2001 US led war, and the days ahead will be critical to decide whether the the US force has complete control over the region.
The Taliban is not at all bothered, despite a United Nations warning that such act of violence shall violate international law.
